Day 4

It was a quiet day at home for us. We had cereal for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch. There is a typhoon coming so it was raining off and on all day. You get about 2 seconds of warning before the rain starts to down pour.

We also did some laundry. No one has a dryer here. You wash your clothes in a machine then hang dry them, because of this your clothes are super stiff. You and your neighbors can also see every piece of clothing you wear.

It was Greyson's turn to cook dinner. We had fish, ground cauliflower, and more caesar salad.

The fish was okay. I dont really like fish in the first place, so it is not like Greyson made it wrong.

Ground/mashed cauliflower. It is a good substitute for mashed potatoes if you're on a diet.

The salad.

Greyson mashing the cauliflower.

We played Charades after dinner. I videoed it, but it would not upload to my blog.

Day 3

We had more CoCo Krunch for breakfast. We also had more sandwiches for lunch. At 3 we got off the island and met our dad in Kowloon. Last weekend it was the Dragon Boat Festival. We missed it, but they had some examples of the boats still up. I especially like the animals inside them.

You will begin to notice that Greyson is bad at posing for photo's.

Hong Kong skyline.

 A pastry bench.

A restaurant with Greyson's nickname.

A Rolls Royce.

A Porshe

I thought the whole in the middle of that building was cool.

For some reason I found what this guy is saying to be funny. "Always hold the handrail"
It is Greyson and me! I have the camera and Greyson has the video game controller.

Some stain glass for anyone who likes that stuff.

Balloon Art!

A bicycle balloon scultpure.

I thought this was really cool. They put a design on the bottom of the escalator.  Good way to make it look more attractive.

We stopped at a restaurant for a snack. I am not allowed to drink any of the tap water here because I have a sensitive stomach and it's not the same as our water.  We walked a long ways to get here and we were all thirsty. Greyson drank all his water in one gulp. I couldn't even take a sip. I found it to be very sad.

French toast with a twist. They make a peanut butter sandwich and deep fry it. Then you dip it in sugar honey. It is very good.

Ramen.

We went the oldest book store in Hong Kong. I liked the way the stairs sounded when you walked up them. They were kind of hollow sounding.

We went home and it was my turn to cook dinner.

The Cesear salad.

The pork chops and gravy

I am cooking away in our small kitchen. It is the size of a closet.

We also had my favorite food. It is bread with powdered milk inside. It is so good. Do not knock it until you try it. Unfortunatly we dont have them in Minnesota. If I am lucky get them once a year. We call them milk buns.

Murals

On the way home from dinner we ran across some murals that we really liked. I took a lot of pictures, so I decided to create a post just for it.

Look at that tree-building. I bet you have never seen one of those before. And the Rhino,  children are  now riding those as a mode of transportation in Uganda. Birds are also wearing hats to protect their bill from the powerful UV rays of the sun.

Sloth.

Lizard. Gecko. Salamander. Chameleon. Fly.

In New Zealand, they have a new breed of flowers. They are half boy and half flower.  Also, the new fad in Japan is a cat flash light. Quick look! It's mother nature. You know it's her because she is covered in plants.

For my beloved friend Miss Katie Weston.

And for my other beloved friend Miss Annie Weston.

A bird by a bird.

An adorable dino. Woah! There is a photo bomber in the background.  He is being all seductive with that winky face.

More dinosaurs. I wouldn't mind living in the prehistoric time age if dinosaurs were this cute.

It's the lockness monster!

So many arches full of cool art.

Day 2

Here is what we have been having for breakfast.

Milk and cereal.

We also ate some chocolate for breakfast.

If only they sold these in America.
The chocolate half. We aren't really sure what is in the shell, but it tastes like nutella.

The toy half. I happen to get a croquet set.

My croquet. It was a lot harder than it looks.

For lunch we went down to Main Street again and found a deli. We had sandwiches with turkey, english mild cheddar, mayo, and mustard, on french bread.

Here are some more views of the island we are on.
One part of a curvy Main Street.

We have no idea what these are, but they sell them right next to the other fruits.

It explains itself.

If you look closly you will see a cat chilling under the air conditioner. Avery noticed him.

A gate that I like.

We think these are pomegranites. Did you know pomegranites grow on trees?

Something that is growing on a tree.
Avery standing by a tree on steroids.

A rooty tree.

We took the ferrie to Hong Kong or Central as they call it to have dinner.

View from an escalator. I like the Pac Man sign.

Cool dragon decor on the building.

Part of the restaurant that we ate dinner at. I really liked their decorating.

It was mediterranian.

Even though it was air conditioned, we were all dripping sweat. It was 90 degrees today with a lot of humidity.

The restaurant was family style. The crouton looking thing is actually goat cheese, that tasted like a cheese curd but healthier.

A hummas spread thing, that you put on a torilla shell.

Some spicy shawarma meat and salad. I had a form of Shawarma and so did Greyson for those people that saw The Avengers with us.

We eat ate one meatball and had these noodles. I'm not really sure what anything was that we ate, but it was all really good.

I'm a little weird with what I take pictures of, but I really liked their sink. I though the orange tile was cool and also the faucet.
...

They have these bumps every where you go. They guide the blind. I think they are a cool invention. We should have them in America.
The tall building that Batman jumped off in his second movie.
"Yo Mama" frozen yogurt!
